Deer Hunting

Our stands are located on privately owned property that has been extensively managed to support a high volume of trophy sized bucks. We encourage the harvest of does to help support our management plan

You will be hunting over locations that include swamps, creek bottoms, hardwoods, open fields, clear cuts, pines, green fields, trails, scrape, rub lines, and feeding areas. Your shooting range will be anywhere from 25 to 250 yards.

We have box stands to keep you warm and dry. We also have ladder and tripod stands for hunting trails, creek bottoms, and from the edge of open fields offering excellent opportunities not only for hunting game, but for watching wildlife.

The Hunt:

Plan to arrive around 3:00 p.m. the day before your hunt. This will give you plenty of time to unpack and discuss the hunting areas you will be hunting during your stay with your guide and view our maps.

Your guides will arrive at the lodge around 5:00 a.m. You will leave for your hunting destination around 5:30 a.m.; whether you are hunting from one of our shooting houses, ladder stands, or ground blinds.

You will be picked up around 10:30 a.m. and brought back to the lodge where you can grab a bite to eat and relax before the afternoon hunt. After you have eaten and relaxed for a while, we will take you back to your deer stand at around 2:00 p.m. We will pick you up after dark and return to the lodge so you can sit back and relax or watch Satellite TV.

What to Bring:

Weapon and ammunition, camouflage clothing (pack for warm & cold-our temperatures vary widely), orange vest or hat (required to be on the hunter at all times that you are not in your stand), safety harness (required in ladder stands or personal climbing stands), binoculars, boots (water proof is best), flashlight, knife, safety gear (so you feel comfortable), coolers to transport game, Sleeping bag, pillow, toiletries, and a great attitude and desire to hunt!! If you wish to bring your favorite climbing stand, feel free to do so.

Like all hunting lodges we have rules to protect you, other guests, our guides, and staff. We promote a fun and friendly atmosphere. We don’t encourage alcoholic beverages; however we allow it and trust that you will drink responsibly. Excessive drinking and behavior that detracts from this experience will be dealt with by the staff. We want each and every guest to have fun, be safe, and to enjoy themselves.
